PORTLAND – A parent-teacher organization has organized an auction to help replace equipment and supplies destroyed in the Marysville Elementary School fire back in November.
The benefit auction was scheduled for Thursday night, starting at 6 p.m., at the Ambridge Events Center in Northeast Portland.
Proceeds will go toward purchasing new supplies for Marysville, along with providing transportation for parent volunteers who need to get to Rose City Park – the school’s new temporary home.
“We have lots of tickets. we need people desperately to come. We've had so much work that has gone into this, from the businesses donating their goods and services, to the people who've put in the time,” one of the workers told KGW.
Tickets to the auction are $30 and donations can also be made online.
