PORTLAND, Ore. -- A sirloin beef recall over E. Coli fears has expanded.
The beef comes from a Colorado meat packer, JBS Swift Beef Co., and was sold in Oregon, according to the US Department of Agriculture.
Last week, about 41,000 pounds of meat products were recalled for E. Coli fears. On Sunday, the government expanded the recall to include about 380,000 pounds of beef.
The beef was sold in Oregon, California and several other states, according to the USDA.
All of the beef products in the expanded recall were produced April 21 and bear a packaging date code of 042109. There will also be another code, "EST. 969," on the boxes, with time stamps ranging from "0618" to "1130."
There have been 24 illnesses across the U.S. linked to the recall.
