Today I drove the Flexcar to my meeting in Eugene. All went well. Several people at my meeting noticed the car and asked about it. I told them about the Challenge (which they could care less about, but they LOVED the idea of the Flexcar.) I don't know it Flexcar has plans to expand the program to Eugene, but from the response I got, it sounds like that town would be very receptive.

Took the bus to work today again. For the first time, I felt the frustration of seeing the bus pull away from the bus stop when I was a block away. The good news is the next bus came along about 10 minutes later. Not all was lost! It was a quick ride to Portland with a new magazine.

I have a business trip to Eugene planned for tomorrow. I left the office and when straight to the Smart Park lot two blocks away. In the specially marked parking space was the Flexcar! Transportation of the future, well, at least for tomorrow. The car was clean and kind of fun to drive home. Since I had the car, I drove it to the grocery store. The family ate well.

Speaking of my family, my daughters have walked to school and work this week. They are happy school is out!

Rode the bus to work again today. The drive in was fine, but traffic was heavy coming home. It took over an hour. Glad I had a good book! Walked to the grocery store for dinner. Needless to say, it was a LIGHT dinner. So far, no driving.

Today was my first day of the Drive Less Save More Challenge. I took the bus to work from West Linn to Portland and found the experience quite easy.

It was nice not to deal with the drive time traffic. The travel time was a little longer, but it gave me a chance to read my book.

I did not have to drive my car at all today, and that felt kind of good.

We'll see what tomorrow brings!
