PORTLAND -- Portland International Airport was ranked the No. 1 domestic airport in a survey of readers of Travel + Leisure magazine for the fourth year in row.
PDX edged airports in Indianapolis, Tampa, Austin, the Twin Cities, and Dallas Love Field. Changi Airport in Singapore was again rated the best international airport.
Airports were ranked from last November to March on location and access; check-in and security; restaurants and food; shopping and design, with optional feedback about business and family amenities. Portland scored 80 and Singapore 91.
“Kudos to the designers and the Port of Portland for an airport that is user-friendly, open, airy, and efficient,” the magazine said. "You can order Middle Eastern fare from Aybla Grill and buy socks, bike helmets, and even yoga mats sporting the pattern found on the unforgettable carpet lining the terminals."
