La. police help stranded hitchhiker

(KTAL)  Louisiana's Shreveport Police Department pulled together Tuesday morning to help an elderly hitchhiker robbed while on the road.

Police received a call telling them about an elderly hitchhiker that was barely able to stand. 

Sgt. Laura Potts responded to the call and found 70-year-old Bill Brazier.

He was trying to get home to Fort Worth, TX after working in Jackson, Mississippi.

Brazier said he had been robbed during his trip and no longer had money to get home.

Sgt. Potts said that when she decided to act.
