NEW YORK (AP) -- Aretha Franklin said she wanted to spend her 70th birthday with her feet up, watching TV and reading the Sunday paper. So for her friends and family, that meant celebrating her 70th one day early -- and that's just what happened on Saturday. One of the guests: Franklin's longtime friend Willie Wilkerson. Yes, that's the same Wilkerson who for a little while was Franklin's fiance. So where do things stand now? Asked at the party if marriage might again be in her future, Franklin said: "We'll see what happens." Meanwhile her musical plans are intact. She is teaming up again with Clive Davis for a new album. Davis helped engineer Franklin's comeback in the 1980s.
