Credit: AP
NEW YORK (AP) -- Howie Dorough of the Backstreet Boys loves the new crop of boy bands. He says he's shocked in a good way that America is embracing the British boy band One Direction, as well as groups like The Wanted, Big Time Rush and Mindless Behavior. His teenage cousin gave him an article saying One Direction is following the pattern of the Backstreet Boys and Dorough finds that "flattering." He says back in the day, he'd get heckled for being in a boy band, but now guys are willing to admit that Backstreet Boys are a guilty pleasure.
