LIANNE LA HAVAS: GETTING LOVE FROM OLD-SCHOOL STARS
NEW YORK (AP) -- It would be enough to blow anyone's mind -- much less a new recording star. Lianne La Havas (LEE'-an lah HAV'-uhs) says she has been getting love and support for her music from none other than Prince and Stevie Wonder. La Havas says one day her manager told her Prince wanted to talk music with her. She forgot about it for a few weeks -- then learned a date had been set for the call. She forgot her phone -- and ended up taking the call in a noisy bar on her boyfriend's cell. La Havas finally got to a quiet place where and she says when they did talk, Prince was "very complimentary" about her music -- and even invited her to meet him at Paisley Park. Stevie Wonder has been to one of her shows -- and spent 45 minutes afterward chatting with her.
