"DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES" LAWSUIT

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The creator of "Desperate Housewives" has shown jurors notes from the writers that show he was planning to kill Nicollette Sheridan's character long before they argued on the set. Marc Cherry explained a note on the script that said "Steven drinks OJ." He says it was a reference to Edie Britt's husband who was going to kill Britt. He says OJ was a reference to O.J. Simpson. Sheridan is suing Cherry and ABC, claiming she was fired from the show after complaining that Cherry hit her during an argument on set.
