NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Trace Adkins is doing his part. He was scheduled to join other country artists to raise money for colon cancer patients. Adkins was slated to be part of a concert and silent auction called, The Stars Go Blue For Colon Cancer benefit. Last night's event at the Country Music Hall of Fame will benefit The Blue Note Fund, which helps colon cancer patients with living expenses. Also scheduled for the event, country music hit-maker Wade Hayes who's currently fighting stage four colon cancer. His songs include "Old Enough To Know Better," "On A Good Night," and "Tore Up From The Floor Up." Adkins is scheduled to launch his intimate "Songs and Stories" theater tour tomorrow in Des Moines, Iowa.
