ELVIS PRESLEY BOULEVARD IN MEMPHIS WILL SEE IMPROVEMENTS
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Elvis Presley Boulevard in Memphis is getting a makeover. The Memphis Daily News reports the city council has approved $16 million in funding over the next two years for updates. The work will include adding sidewalks, moving utility lines and landscaping. Council member Harold Collins says many visitors see outdated signs and think they're lost on their way to Graceland. He says people in that area have been waiting 35 years for improvements.
