MORGAN FREEMAN GIVING UP RESTAURANT

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- Morgan Freeman is closing his upscale restaurant in Clarksdale, Mississippi after ten years. Freeman says the restaurant accomplished its goal of promoting redevelopment in Clarksdale. He says he and his business partner are proud to have been part of that. But, his partner says the restaurant "has never made money" and neither he nor Freeman had the time to run and manage it.
