SUGARLAND TO LAUNCH TOUR IN APRIL
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Sugarland is giving up all control of their new tour when it launches in April. The tour is called "In The Hands Of The Fans," and it will rely exclusively on fan requests to determine the set list for each city. "American Idol" runner up Lauren Alaina and new artist Canaan Smith will be the openers. Lead singer Jennifer Nettles says the fans will become "conductors" of the show by sending in requests through texts, handwritten signs, social media, and phone calls. She says if it's on a Sugarland record or they have played it on any stage, it is "fair game." The tour kicks off April 5th in Toledo, Ohio. It runs through mid-August.
