LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Oscar-winner Octavia Spencer says she hopes she can be a "beacon of hope," for girls who want to follow in her footsteps, particularly because she's not the "typical Hollywood beauty." She made an indirect reference to what she has called her "zaftig" physique. She was talking to reporters after her best supporting actress win, and jokingly chastised them for not contradicting her, saying, "I hear crickets" in the room. She also said she's "just going to live in this moment" because it's never happened, and "Lord knows it may never happen again."
