"EYE OF THE TIGER" COMPOSER SUES NEWT GINGRICH
CHICAGO (AP) -- One of the composers of "Eye of the Tiger" is suing Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich to keep him from using that song at campaign events. Frank Sullivan and Rude Music Incorporated have filed a federal lawsuit, saying Gingrich has been using that song since 2009. The suit says Gingrich did not ask for permission. Sullivan and Jim Peterik co-wrote the song in 1982. Gingrich's attorneys could not be reached for comment.
