"RED TAILS" - CUBA GOODING JR.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- It's not the first time Cuba Gooding Jr. has starred in a movie about real-life people from history. "Red Tails" is actually his second movie about the Tuskegee Airmen. He played a fighter pilot in an HBO movie and now he's a flying instructor. Gooding has played other real-life characters on screen, but he can't pin down why. He says he might have an "everyman quality," but isn't sure. He says a woman once told him that there was something about him that "embodies humanity." He says "that's biggest compliment" he could get. Red Tails opens today.
