TAYLOR SWIFT, CIVIL WARS - "SAFE AND SOUND"
NASHVILLE (AP) -- Fans who saw the Civil Wars perform at the Grand Old Opry this past Thursday night may have been wondering if Taylor Swift might make a surprise appearance. After all, she and the duo have that new song from "The Hunger Games," that hadn't been performed live. It happened. Fan video from the audience shows Joy Williams announcing they were bringing out a performer who "hasn't had much time on stage and she's really new at writing songs." Then Williams and John Paul White turn to welcome this newbie to the center of the stage, telling her "don't be shy." That's when Swift walked out pretending to be timid. She kissed kissed Williams and White and said a few words to the audience. Then they backed her on "Safe and Sound" while she sang lead.
