GARTH BROOKS - JURY SELECTION BEGINS

CLAREMORE, Oklahoma (AP) -- Garth Brooks was in the courtroom yesterday as jury selection began in his suit against a hospital he donated to. Brooks says he gave Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital in Yukon, Oklahoma a half-million dollars believing at least some part of the facility would be named after his mother. There was no naming so he's sued to have the money returned. Nearly everyone in the jury pool raised their hands when Brooks' lawyer asked if they'd heard of Brooks. Eight of the 18 selected for possible duty say they're fans of Garth Brooks, and several say they'd been to one or more of his concerts.
