NEW YORK (AP) -- Steven Spielberg admits to being nervous every day on the set of his movies, but casting newcomers doesn't contribute to his schpilkas, as he calls it. Spielberg says he's "a veteran of foolhardy casting choices." He points out how he hired Drew Barrymore when she was about seven for "E.T." and that he cast a young Christian Bale to make his starring movie debut in the epic "Empire of the Sun." Now, he's hired another newcomer to make his movie debut in "War Horse." He says that didn't make him nervous because he could tell that Jeremy Irvine had what it took to carry a film.
