JANET JACKSON: PARIS SHOULDN'T BE IN A HURRY TO GROW UP

BURBANK, California (AP) -- Janet Jackson has some advice for her niece Paris: "be a child." Jackson told Jay Leno last night she has misgivings about Paris wanting to become an actress at just 13. Michael's daughter Paris has already been cast in a film based on a new children's book, "Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys." Janet says Paris should just "enjoy her youth." Janet says Paris has the rest of her life to be an adult. Janet herself was a child actress; she was part of the cast of "Good Times" when she was a kid before going on to a recording career and resuming her career as an actress. She has complained that she was hurt that some people said she was pudgy while on "Good Times" -- and encouraged her to lose weight.
