BEYONCE AND JAY-Z: COMPLAINTS ABOUT HOSPITAL MISTREATMENT DISMISSED

NEW YORK (AP) -- Beyonce and Jay-Z may be rich new parents of a kid who already is making it on the record charts. But state health officials in New York say there's no truth to the claim that they bullied others to make sure no one got a glimpse of their new baby while in the hospital. State officials say they got two complaints about what went down at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. Depending on who you believe, the power couple bought up an entire floor of the hospital and their security crew kept parents from visiting their own babies while they were keeping an eye on Blue Ivy Carter over the weekend. Officials say the complaints have been dismissed. But they didn't elaborate. A hospital official confirms that security cameras were briefly taped over when Jay-Z, Beyonce and the baby were being moved -- but didn't say why that happened. She says while other parents on the maternity unit noticed there was "enhanced security," none felt restricted from accessing the unit or any other at the hospital.
