WASHINGTON (AP) -- Most black folks understand exactly what first lady Michelle Obama meant when she said she has been inaccurately portrayed as "some kind of angry black woman." But it seems just about everyone else is tripping over her comments to CBS News. Mrs. Obama was challenging some of the claims made in a new book about the couple that indicated she clashed with her husband's staff over policy issues. She says the book and other people have made it appear she's a seething black woman who resents being at the White House. But in the interview Mrs. Obama said being first lady "has been a privilege from day one."
