AXL ROSE DECLINES ROCK HALL INDUCTION

NEW YORK (AP) -- So much for the Guns N' Roses reunion: Axl Rose is refusing his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. He doesn't plan to go to Saturday's ceremony in Cleveland and he doesn't want anyone accepting the induction on his behalf. Rose says in a statement he tried to come up with a solution but it was no-win. He says his attitude about playing with the classic lineup has not changed -- he's not interested -- and anyone saying he should do it for the fans is detracting from the current GNR lineup. Rose says he's grateful that the Rock Hall voted for him and he does not begrudge the other band members for their honor. A representative for Slash says he will still attend but he has no further comment. The Rock Hall says it still plans to induct Rose with the rest of the group.
