The selfie snapped by Oscar host Ellen DeGeneres is now the most retweeted image of all time.

During one of the segments for the 86th annual Academy Awards, the exuberant host inquired if she could snap the photo with Meryl Streep.

Before Bradley Cooper took the shot, in jumped Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lawrence, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Lupita Nyong'o, Peter Nyong'o Jr., and Kevin Spacey.

Bradley Cooper took the now-instant classic that caused a virtual meltdown on Twitter. The tweet is the first to surpass a million retweets.

The tweet to previously hold the most retweeted record was Barack Obama's "Four More Years" tweet after he was re-elected president.
