PORTLAND -- Do you remember The Strawberry Alarm Clock? Right Said Fred? Carl Douglas?

Maybe not, but chances are you've heard exactly one song from each of them. "Incense and Peppermints" (1967), "I'm Too Sexy" (1992) and "Kung-Fu Fighting" (1974) are the hits that made these folks famous, if only for a fleeting moment.

September 25 is unofficially "One-Hit Wonder Day," a holiday created in 1990 by music writer Steve Rosen to celebrate those musicians who cracked the Top 40 charts once and never quite made it back.
