PORTLAND — The new season of the hit cable TV show "Portlandia" is still a month away, but tidbits are starting to leak out about some of the highlights of the upcoming shows.
The new season will guest star Kirsten Dunst, Maya Rudulph, Olivia Wilde and KD Lange, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The IFC comedy, now entering its fourth season, lovingly skewers overzealous progressives, hipsters and folks who go to extremes to live sustainable lives.
Also, rumor has it that stars Steve Buscemi and Jeff Goldblum will be back again after previous guest appearances.
Fans can expect to see a sketch about tailgating the "Prairie Home Companion" at the Rose Quarter.
Season Four will premiere on February 27th on IFC. After the show's third season ended, cable channel IFC announced it had renewed the show for two more. Season Four and Season Five will feature 10 half-hour episodes.
"Portlandia" was created by and stars Fred Armisen of "Saturday Night Live" fame and Carrie Brownstein, a Pacific Northwest native who is a former guitarist and vocalist for the band Sleater-Kinney.
