Seattle's grunge label Sub Pop is celebrating its silver jubilee this week and is having a couple parties to celebrate. The label was the original home for Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Mudhoney.
Mudhoney teamed up with KEXP for a Silver Jubilee concert from the top of the Space Needle Thursday night. The concert was part of a special broadcast at 5 p.m, with DJs spinning throughout the day as well.
On Saturday, continuing the celebration of their 25 years, Sub Pop Records will host a free event in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood.
The event will feature live music, as well as art, food, and more.
