EUGENE – A signature Squire Jazzmaster guitar belonging to Dinosaur Jr. front man J. Mascis was stolen during a show in Eugene’s WOW Hall Thusday night.

Tia Troester with Red Light management company said the guitar in a cloth gig bag was taken while the band was playing.

The signature white Squier Jazzmaster has a dent in the neck, the pickups have no screws, and the action is currently set high.

Dinosaur Jr. plays the Neptune Theater in Seattle Friday night.

Anyone with information on the theft was asked to contact band@dinosaurjr.com or call 303-998-0001.

Mascis also had a recent interview with 'Portlandia's Fred Armisen, promoting the band's latest album 'I bet on sky' while wearing a Wiper's T- shirt. You can watch it here (graphic language)
