PORTLAND -- E.L. James, author of "Fifty Shades of Grey" had a book signing event Monday night at Powell's City of Books, 1005 W. Burnside.
James did not read from the book. She offered to sign up to three books per person. Her erotic book, part of a trilogy, is the fastest selling paperback ever.
The book includes a number of references to Portland's Heathman Hotel, which has offered two packages for guests that draw on its popularity.
