08:43 AM PDT on Sunday, May 11, 2008
MOUNT ANGEL, Ore. (AP) -- A health and P-E teacher in the Mount Angel School District is on paid administrative leave while police investigate claims of inappropriate conduct with two female Kennedy High School students.
Superintendent Bob Young informed district parents by letter. The reports also have been forwarded to the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission.
Molan was hired last fall on a temporary contract. Young did not go into detail, citing personnel confidentiality. Mount Angel Police Chief Brent
Earhart said the investigation should be complete in a few days and reiterated that no charges have been filed.
Molan also is the boys basketball coach and previously worked as a math teacher and boys basketball coach at Salem Academy in Salem.
