Dinosaurs are once again roaming the Earth, thanks to a live, theatrical show that is now playing at Portland's Rose Garden Arena.

"Walking with Dinosaurs... The Live Experience" is based on the award-winning BBC Television series and includes the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the Plateosaurus, and the Liliensternus from the Triassic period, the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus from the Jurassic period, and the Torosaurus and Utahraptor from the Cretaceous.

The largest of them, the Brachiosaurus, is 36 feet tall, and 56 feet from nose to tail. It took a team of 50 – including engineers, fabricators, skin makers, artists and painters, and animatronic experts – a year to build the original production.

During the show, fifteen roaring, snarling “live” dinosaurs mesmerize the audience at the Rose Garden. The show depicts the dinosaurs’ evolution, complete with the climatic and tectonic changes that took place, which led to the demise of many species.

“Walking with Dinosaurs” made its Portland debut on Wednesday night, January 16th, with 8 other shows scheduled through Sunday, the 20th.
