2008 Oregon State Fair is underway now through Labor Day

SALEM, Ore. -- The Oregon State Fair got underway Friday morning, August 22nd in Salem with carnival rides, 4-H competitions, concerts and plenty of other fun events scheduled through Labor Day (Monday, September 1st).
An online fair planner lists all the activities and schedules, ranging from animal exhibits and wine tastings to entertainment in the family village and traditional fair food.

Gates to the Fairgrounds open everyday at 10:00am, and admission tickets range in cost from $3 to $10, depending on the age of the fair visitor and how far in advance the tickets are purchased.
There are also additional fees for entry into the Big Shows and Wine Celebration Oregon.
