Portland’s own curling club, the Evergreen Curling Club, is encouraging new curlers to join the fun during league action Tuesday nights at the Lloyd Center Ice Rink.
The Evergreen Curling Club was born in 2002, out of interest generated from that year’s Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. Steady growth over the past 6 years now has the club at between 80 and 100 members.
The curling “season” runs from October through March, with a 2nd Novice Winter League now underway every Tuesday night at 8:30pm at Lloyd Center.
