Portland Pro Wrestlers perform body slams with helping hands
11:24 AM PST on Friday, January 11, 2008
Members of the North American Wrestling Alliance (NAWA) are entering the ring the next couple of Sundays with two polar opposite objectives. While attempting to hurt their opponent, the wrestlers will also be helping the victims of last month’s flood in Vernonia.
The NAWA is holding a pair of benefit shows in support of the Vernonia School District and the students affected by the natural disaster. The shows are scheduled for this Sunday and next, January 13th & 20th, at 3:00pm both days.
All the action will take place at the NAWA Fight Factory, located at 4943 NE 105th (just ¼ mile north of the intersection of NE 105th & Sandy) in Northeast Portland.
All Tickets cost $10, and can be purchased by calling 503-995-3284.
The NAWA is a Portland-based professional wrestling organization, with matches scheduled every Saturday night at 7:00pm at the NE Portland Fight Factory.
For more information on the North American Wrestling Alliance, check out the NAWA’s official MySpace page.
