It's snowing out there again this morning! At least, in very spotty areas with mainly very light snow coming down. It's cold enough that whatever falls will stick to the roads, so ice is possible. The moisture should increase a bit later this morning, but I still only expect spotty snow showers. I'd say trace to about an inch is possible over the metro area, but that 1 inch is on the high side of things. The air mass moving in is trying to moderate our temps and is actually showing some warmer air around the 2,000 foot mark. That means we may see some isolated pockets of light freezing rain as well, which means liquid precipitation that instantly freezes to surfaces that are below surface. The moisture should taper off this afternoon with temps staying around or just below freezing. The coast today should be in the 40s.
Tomorrow morning look for some fog and freezing fog before turning partly sunny with temps just above freezing. We'll work our way into the 40s on Thursday, but not before we see some areas with light freezing rain turning to rain. Temps will stay much warmer from there into the weekend with highs warming into the mid and upper-40s.
