Today's sunny start is the perfect highlight to how quiet and rain free our weather has been this year. Don't forget, January was better than an inch below normal at PDX for total rainfall. The eye-catching lack of rain began in February and continues as March finishes it's first week. The graphic highlights a nearly 50% of normal trend since February when looking at rainy days with at least .10 inches of rain.
Forecast charts continue to show much below normal rain for March and at this time there are no signs of above normal precipitation in April or May. Feel good about enjoying today's sunshine, because the water year rain total is still about 3.00 inches above normal, thanks to last October - December.
