We are when it comes to green energy, trees, recycling, but what about race relations?
We have work to do in that area according to the President and CEO of the Urban League in Portland, Marcus Mundy.
As we look ahead to Barack Obama's inauguration on Tuesday, we'll examine what the Obama presidency could mean for Oregon and its minority population.
Mundy will be one of our guests Saturday on "Straight Talk" at 7pm.
Also joining us, The Superintendent of Public Instruction in Oregon, Susan Castillo.
Castillo was the first Hispanic woman to be seated in the Oregon legislative assembly and first Hispanic woman to be elected to statewide office.
We'll talk with Mundy and Castillo about what Barack Obama's presidency will mean to people of color in Oregon and the state of race relations in Oregon.
If you have questions for our guests, you can post them here.
Tune in to "Straight Talk" Saturday at 7pm or Sunday at 8:30pm on Northwest Cable News, channel 49.
Let's start talking!
