We heard from President Obama today on what he's trying to do to stimulate the U-S economy.
He pressed members of Congress to work together to pass an 800-plus billion dollar stimulus plan.
It's a plan he says can't wait.
Oregon is facing its own economic crisis.
The state must find a way to fill a 800-million dollar budget hole. And that's just in the next five months.
The two year budget after that looks even worse.
So, what are your lawmakers doing about it? They've passed a 175-million dollar state stimulus, and they're looking at ways to balance that grim looking budget.
We'll talk to a Republican and Democratic leader in the legislature. We'll also hear from Oregon State University economist, Patrick Emerson.
