Okay, maybe the negotiating going on in Salem isn't as clamorous as the word "hullabaloo" would seem to imply, but there's a lot going on regarding your health care right now.
Lawmakers are considering some 17 bills on health care, and one them HB2009 is especially contentious.
That's the one that would increase the provider tax on hospitals and managed care providers.
It also establishes a health care authority and a framework where you could exchange your insurance.
The state senator spearheading many of the bills is Senator Dr. Alan Bates of Ashland.
Senator Bates is taking time out of his busy schedule on Good Friday, no less, to appear on "Straight Talk", and give us some straight talk on Oregon's health care system.
Or is it a health care hodge podge, as one Oregonian reader called it in a letter to the editor on Thursday?
We'll talk about that.
Join us Saturday night at 6:30 at our new time for Straight Talk on your health care.
Then let us know what you think by leaving a comment here.
Thanks for watching and let's keep talking.
