So, how did Oregon lawmakers do in the 2009 session?
Lawmakers tackled a lot of issues from driving while talking on your cell, to field burning, to requiring chain restaurants to display calories on their menus.
However, the issue most will remember is the move to raise taxes on gas, high income earners and businesses.
They are some of the steepest tax increases in the state's history.
Will the taxes help the state bounce back from the recession and protect its most vulnerable citizens or will the taxes be rejected by voters in January?
This week on "Straight Talk", A key Republican and Democrat will join us to look back at the session and give us their assessment of the higher taxes.
You can leave us your questions here and comments after the show on Saturday at 6:30.
I am off for two weeks. I want to thank Wayne Havrelly for filling in.
As always let's keep talking and thanks for watching.
