We're still more than a year away from the election to determine Oregon's next governor, but election season is already kicking into full swing on Straight Talk. In case you missed it, we had former Governor John Kitzhaber on the show last weekend. This weekend, we're planning to talk to one of his primary challengers - his good friend, former Secretary of State Bill Bradbury.

When we talked to Kitzhaber, he asked him about rumors he had been up for a cabinet job with the Obama administration, what he considers this generation's challenge equivalent to World War II, and the health care debate he says is not taking place on Capitol Hill, but should be.

Most importantly for Oregonians, we pushed him on how he would bring more jobs to Oregon and ensure stable funding for the state's schools. That, plus, what Steve Duin of The Oregonian called the Roger Mudd moment; asking Kitzhaber straight up why he wants the job again.

Expect some of those questions for Bradbury this week, along with plenty on the environment. He's spent quite a bit of time recently speaking on climate change. How does that impact his plans and thoughts for Oregon? We want to know, too. Feel free to send us your thoughts and questions, and tune in this Saturday night at 6:30pm to KGW to see our interview.

Over the next few months, we'll be working hard to get the other candidates on Straight Talk. We hope it'll help you make your decision in the primary and beyond.
