....so says this study we talked about in our morning and noon show on this Monday:
I wanted to give you the full writeup on it.. also, here is the information on the islet transplant for diabetes as it pertains to having the procedure done in the states...
And, this morning, we talked about that grocery store chain no longer selling tobacco products.. Wegmans, which has 70 some odd stores in 5 states, mostly east. I think that's a huge 'talker' story, don't you? I think there is a bigger debate there..
Here is a statement from the American Lung Association.. an east coast chapter:
OKAY: neti pot comments!!
Terri writes: I first heard about the neti pot while watching Dr. Oz on Oprah. I have had sinusitis every since I moved here from the desert of the Tri-Cities 12 years ago. I couldn't find a pot at the time, but I bought a squeeze bottle made by a company that also makes a neti pot, it works the same way. I love it, it even helps to unplug my ears. I never realized they were plugged up. I would recommend them to everyone, even if you don't have sinus problems, to keep it that way.
Since I bought mine, I have seen them in the drug stores, they probably received many requests for them after others also saw them on Oprah.
It really does work!!!
Sharon writes: I don't use a Neti pot, but I use a baby nose syringe for the same thing. I can't say enough good stuff about the saline solution to flush out the nasal passages. It's made a world of difference for me. Before using it, I had constant problem with stuffy nose, allergies and asthma. I am happy to say I no longer wake up in the night with stuffy nose. I still have asthma, but I've cut WAY back on my rescue inhaler.
And for those of you who want to know where to get them.. you'll have to do your own digging, sorry!! But I will remind you that we featured Whole Foods in our story as a place that carries them, so put your sinuses on alert!
Leslie sent an ADORABLE picture of her dog Peanut. I mean seriously cute.
