Who knew!! People actually bid on the photo I submitted for the Candelighters Harvest of Hope auction. All the money goes to this group: http://www.4kidswithcancer.org/.

But it gets better.

I got an email yesterday from a gal named Connie who had bid on the photo... only to get outbid, like, 3 times. She wondered if she could pay me and Candlelighters for a copy of it.

I told her I wouldn't take a dime but she could absolutely make a donation to the charity and I'd be happy to print her a copy! THEN, get this: I email the gal who puts on the fundraiser and she tells me that she will knock off some of her fee if I make a print for her! So one photo got, essentially, three donations to Candelighters!

And to think I was soooo nervous that no one was going to bid on it. I hovered near it and tried to look all cool while I sauntered by. Once I realized people liked it I snuck this photo as fast as I could.

Hey TOM: the Tillamook Mac N Cheese contest was GREAT. My gut hurt so bad, because I ate way too much (shocker).. but I know you aren't shedding any tears for me. :-)

I don't think I'm supposed to tell you this, but the local gal's recipe (Rhonda from Lake Oswego) was my personal favorite.

Whoops: gotta fly. Have to do my 6pm story!!
