We adopted a new puppy! Well, she's about a year old, near as anyone can tell, and she is a total sweetheart.

She's also very, very, very fast and it's nearly impossible to get a clear picture of her. This the best I could do with my cell phone camera.

She does great at the dog park, loves to walk, chases the vacuum, does well on a leash, likes chillin' out in the house, and has not destroyed anything so far.

And we don't have a clue what to name her.

I tend to like more of the weird names, like Akira, or Boo (she looks a bit scary and mean but she's absolutely not).

I'd call her Lebowski but she's a girl and I just don't have the heart. I could call her Shadow because she's on me like glue when I get home, but it still doesn't quite fit and I'd feel weird hollering that across the dog park. My friend Kate already picked the name Kai for her dog, so I'd feel guilty stealing that. This, while my husband likes more straight forward names. Boy, what will happen when we have kids, right? I'm gonna be that mom who tries to choose a name that will probably get my kid picked on at school while my husband will be saying, "Jane. What's wrong with Jane? Or, Sarah?"

So, we've run through the following list so far, and have basically nixed all but one:
Montana
Turner (this one is still in the 'maybe' camp)
Pepper
Lewbowski
Pickle
Boo
Migs
Akira
Zoe
Chloe
Monster (a bit of a joke)
and Budweiser. Which is NOT an option no matter how much my husband thinks it should be.

Maybe we'll call her Harley.
