For the third time in his brief NBA career, Blazers guard Brandon Roy was named the NBA's Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
Roy led Portland to a 4 and 0 record.... averaging 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists per game.
You can't say enough positive things about how Roy carries himself as a professional athlete these days.
With the news in NY about Marbury and Plaxico.... Roy is simply a breath of fresh air.
One item I'd like to share from one of the recent home games. We were waiting for the fellas to get to their lockers after the Sacramento game on November 24th... more or less hovering around Brandon's locker. On his locker was a simple little "post it" note that read "Stay Humble". I believe I don't need to say anything more than that. His play on the court is anything but "humble" though. Thus far, he's carried this young Blazers squad to a tie for 1st place in the Northwest Division-- and, a tie for the second best record in the Western Conference. Kudo's to B-Roy!!
