Every fan of the Oakland Raiders will agree.... nothing will change until Al Davis relinquishes control of the team. I've never seen a football team (can we even call them that?) with less of a reason to show up on Sunday's. How they managed to win 3 games this season is beyond me. And their 2 of their 3 wins are against possible playoff teams (Denver and NY Jets). If it sounds like this is a moment for me to vent.... IT IS! Oakland's loss to the Patriots on Sunday sealed their fate as the first team in NFL history to lose at least 11 games in 6 consecutive seasons. It would be easy for us to pin it on Barrett Robbins and his little escapade to Tijuana the night before the Super Bowl... but that's a cheap way out. When somebody like "Big Al" has his fingers in on EVERYTHING... it doesn't make for a very good working environment. The Raiders do little to attract anyone these days. JaMarcus Russell could go down as one of the worst #1 picks in NFL history. He's done nothing to disprove of that thus far. He's not a leader...doesn't display any emotion.... and appears to brush off everything as "he's still a rookie".
For the record, I was born in Oakland, CA.... and have followed this team thru the thick and thin. At this point, I'm not sure how much more I can take.
