As some fans know, this is our 16th season for Friday Night Flights.
It's still a blast and I look forward to it every year. Last week, Ace Sports Photographer Brian Warner and I, covered Central Catholic's win over the Lakers at Lake Oswego.
It was a great game and I enjoyed a terrific Chili Cheese Dog.
Over the years I've seen some great games and had some great food to go along with it.
The perfect combination is a game that goes down to the wire and something tasty to eat.
Now, that I think about it, we've had some good meals on the Flights, including a steak dinner, seafood and lots and lots of hot dogs and hamburgers.
Our sports producer Evan Chevrier decides which games I cover each week and I'm never sure what I'm going to eat. It depends on what's available and what we've had during the season. We try to mix things up each week.
I think I'm getting two games this week. Westview at Grant and West Linn at Lincoln.
One year, we covered a game at Franklin and I had something to eat and we went to Jefferson for another game. They had a Barb'que and asked me if I wanted something. I told them I already ate and they said I had to try theirs. I'm glad I did. It was some of the tastiest Barb'que I've ever had on the flights.
So, I'm looking forward to a double-header this Friday and another great year of Friday Night Flights!
