Scrappy: Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day

Scrappy is looking for a special home, where someone will spend the time helping him to become a great canine citizen. He needs an adult home and may take a while to settle in as he may be nervous in new situations. This Doxie mix tends to like women best!

The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Scrappy. He is a sensitive fella who can be nervous in new situations and prefers to take things slowly. If consider yourself a patient person, Scrappy just might be the boy for you. He will need to go to an adult-only home where his boundaries are understood and respected. It's important to know that Scrappy generally does better with women than men and he did well with other small dogs in the previous shelter. With patience and lots of treats, of course, Scrappy may just open up to become the greatest addition to your home. Scrappy came to us from the Blue Mt. Humane Association as a part of the Second Chance Program. A training consult is included prior to his adoption.
You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption hours end one half hour prior to closing each day
His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
