The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Mimi (102615). She is an eleven year old Maltese who is one of the several dogs who came to the Oregon Humane Society from a breeder and is now in search of a new loving home! Mimi is very sensitive and can be cautious of strangers and in new situations therefore she will need a quiet, patient home where she can take her time to adjust. She has spent her life in a confined are so has not learned many things other dogs have and as a result has not yet been potty trained, leash trained, but with positive reinforcement and some good treats for motivation, hopefully she will learn the ropes. . Mimi will thrive in a home free from children as they scare her . Her ideal home would be with someone who will be patient with her as she has a lot to learn, but that patience will pay off in unconditional love! You can meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland. (503-258-7722) www.oregonhumane.org
Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy vet exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability subject to prior adoption.
