Jethro: Oregon Humane Society's Cat of the Day
Credit: Oregon Humane Society
Jethrow is a midle aged fellow who hasn't had the opportunity to live the good life and is a bit shy in new situations. He will do best in a quiet environment. When he's comfortable he shows it with purrs. You can be the one to show him how a spoiled house cat should live!

The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Jethro. This good-natured little man is shy in new and uncertain situations but has a gentle heart. He opens up in a quiet and gentle environment and would do best in a downtempo home with adults and only older, cat-saavy children. When he is feeling safe and content, he is happy to show it with purrs and gentle headbutts. After having to look out for himself, Jethro very much looks forward to a warm and loving home filled with good meals, a warm bed and wonderful people, just like in the stories he's always heard about. Come meet him today at the Oregon Humane Society.
You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are Sun-Wed 10-7; Thurs-Sat 10-9. Adoption hours are Sun-Wed 10-6:30; Thurs-Sat-10-8:30.
Jethro’s adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
Cats are also available at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside of Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club located at 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. Here they live in “colony rooms” with their fellow felines. Dogs are available at this location too. If you want to know if your best friend gets along with other dogs, this is the place to visit. Oregon Humane Society dogs spend their days in a large group area alongside other dogs a doggie day care facility. Adoption and viewing hours are 10-6 on Monday- Friday; and 10-4 on Saturday-Sunday.
